  • Authenticity is the genuinity for the lens that you have purchased from your optician.
  • Always ask for an authenticity card for the product you purchase from your optician.

PID no. is the Product Identification code no to track your Varilux lenses processed at Essilor.

Please refer authenticity card provided by your optician. PID no would be printed at the backside of the authenticity card.

  • Essilor is the first and only company to offer free Insurance on Varilux lenses.
  • Varilux Insurance is applicable when your Varilux lens is accidentally damaged or stolen
  • Always ask for Certificate of Insurance from your optician during the purchase of Varilux lens.
  • Certificate of insurance is a document given by your optician with his outlet's stamp during the purchase of your Varilux lens.

  • The insured shall immediately notify the loss or damage to the dealer / retail outlet of the lens.
  • If the loss is due to burglary, theft, immediate complaint should be made to the police.
  • If the lens is broken or damaged, the same is to be deposited with your optician against acknowledgement.
  • Depreciation @ 8.33% per month is applicable from the date of purchase.

  • Loss or damages to frames.
  • Scratches, denting, chipping and cracking including at the points of fitting
  • Theft from any unsecured vehicle

  • Willful act or negligence of the purchaser
  • Your Insurance on Varilux lenses are valid for 1 year from the date of purchase
    Yes, while applying for insurance 8.33% per month depreciation is applied from the date of purchase
